WHY JOIN OUR SUMMIT?
You don’t need another summit teaching generic advice. That is NOT what you’re going to find at this event.
The Math Expressions Small Group and Differentiation Mini Summit was specifically created for elementary math teachers like you, focusing on actionable strategies that actually work for small group success!
Even though I have been teaching Math Expressions for years, I have learned and picked up a lot of valuable tips and tricks to make sure that the kids are learning in a way that will stick with them through the years, skills that will be built upon in the coming years, and ways to engage my students to participate and talk more. Thank you for this summit, it has been very helpful!
Gave me a refuel to my burning out flame.....I do love Math Expressions and teaching it....and this Summit gave me just what I needed to get ready to try new things, focus on essentials, and use the great resources Math Expressions provides!
Any time Shannon runs a training, I learning ways to tweak and improve my own teaching.
The rare opportunity to hear the thoughts of both Dr. Fuson and Shannon together. I loved how they added on and clarified each others contributions. I learned a lot!
Hearing all the ideas and connecting the information to what I already practice and what small shifts I can make to ensure my students are successful in our classroom. I really enjoyed the session of shifting from teacher centered to student-centered talk in the classroom. As a teacher it is super easy to get stuck in the "overshare" phase and not allow students that time to process and share with each other.
I loved having a variety of speakers to choose from, new and veteran teachers alike. I LOVED being able to hear from Dr. Fuson. She has so much knowledge to share with us all and provided me with clarification and additional resources.
Having sessions that were just for K. So often one hears, K is different, and nothing is shared. This was outstanding. Even the k-2 was excellent. This far exceeded my expectations. I will be sharing my experience with others.
I thought every session was excellent. It was very real and accessible. I know I can start implementing this in my classroom. I feel so much more prepared.
All of the experts and the resources available.....Priceless!!! and so valuable and ready to use and implement!
Our definition of an “Math Expressions User”is that you are currently teaching, coaching, or leading the math work using this specific curriculum. The Math Expressions User Summit is an independent event, not managed by the publisher of the resource. Although any elementary math teacher could benefit from our sessions (because let’s face it, good instruction is good instruction), our sessions are specifically geared for the Math Expressions User. We are using Math Expressions pedagogy, lesson examples, core structures, and classroom experiences in our presentations.
This summit was created to empower and equip elementary math teachers using this curriculum to love teaching and learning math again.
The main portion of the summit runs on February 3, 2024. You’ll also be able to join our private website community as soon as you register, so you can join in on the fun right away!
While most of the presentations for the summit are pre-recorded, there are some live elements, and the pre-recorded presentations are only available for 24 hours with your free ticket. So we encourage you to attend live if you can! We would love for you to set aside some time during the summit weekend to attend the live sessions, watch the pre-recorded presentations, and participate with others who are making plans to improve their math instruction using Math Expressions just like you!
However, if you’re not able to attend all of the sessions live, go ahead and grab your free ticket, and you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade to the VIP All-Access Pass for extended access and exclusive bonus resources.
Your free ticket includes 24 hour access to each of the presentations. If you need more time, you can always upgrade your ticket to the VIP All-Access Pass after registering, which will give you extended access to the presentations along with exclusive live sessions during the summit week, and premium bonuses from our speakers.
To avoid tech glitches, give you the best possible experience, and keep things easy for the speakers, the presentations are pre-recorded and will be released at a scheduled time during the summit. However, the speakers will be hanging out in our private community with dedicated threads where you can connect with them and ask your questions! There will also be opportunities to join us for bonus live events throughout the event.
