"We have used Shannon and Empower math now for several years in Orinda schools. Shannon has worked with a broad range of teachers, both new and experienced, and made a significant impact on their capacity to deliver high quality math lessons. She tailored her training to our needs, and helped us last year focus on creating structures and systems for differentiated math learning. Feedback from our staff was extremely positive and teachers felt more confident and positive about teaching math effectively. She has been an excellent resource for our staff."

Building content knowledge alongside best instructional practices for individual teachers, teams, staffs, administrations, and districts.
Seeing is believing. Through the modeling of best instructional strategies, expert classroom management and through the fostering of an equitable math talk community, demonstration lessons allow teachers to get a sense of pacing, lesson design, and pedagogy in an inquiry-based classroom.
A reflective teacher is an effective teacher. Opening our doors to others, our peers, etc. is one of the most effective ways to impact our teaching.
"After using the program for three years, it was so nice to see a lesson taught utilizing the parts of the program that we should all be using. Seeing it firsthand versus just being told was extremely effective. I not only enjoyed the math lesson itself, but also the behavior management strategies to make sure ALL students are engaged."

Used by more than 50 schools/districts, the Squad has transformed how teachers implement Math Expressions and most importantly, how they move students along the learning path.
I am so thankful for you and the {Math Genius} Squad. It was a blessing that I stumbled upon you while searching math Expressions on Facebook. I am an avid user of the Squad. I use all of your slide decks and watch each teaching video and unit overview. My class's beginning of the year benchmarking math data showed that 47.06% of my students were proficient/advanced in math. My class's middle-of-the-year benchmarking data showed that 88.24% of my students were proficient/advanced in math. Without the Squad and your coaching (through your videos), I truly believe that my students wouldn't be excelling as much as they are in math. Math Expressions is an amazing curriculum and the Squad gives me the tools needed to dig deeper and to take my instruction to the next level. Thank you!!!!

Shannon is a phenomenal person with unparalleled knowledge of math! She gently showed me how I was doing too much of the thinking for my students. I was able to use her methods to let my students learn how to struggle on their own and therefore grow their brains and confidence in their own math skills. I can’t say it wasn’t difficult for them, but with time and patience, they were able to learn new strategies. Shannon is an excellent teacher and has a fantastic personality. You can count on Shannon to be motivating, encouraging, and honest!
