School Leader Checklist

Ever heard the phrase: What gets measured, gets done?

Are you not sure if implementation of Math Expressions is going well? Maybe you know it could be going better, but you aren't sure in what areas?

You need to measure your implementation progress.

Implementing a resource is just step 1.  Supporting it's implementation is step 2. Use these leader checklists to help identify areas of implementation success and areas of need.

Principal Brad Strumer Shares His Success Story

Hear from dynamic and effective leaders.

Failing to plan, is planning to fail.

Do you practice what you preach?
Do you provide differentiated professional learning for teachers?
Do you have a plan for new teachers coming in? Your over-achievers? Do you have a plan for your teachers needing more pedagogy, your teachers needing more content development, your teachers needing the basics?

For New Adopters, New to a Grade Level, or
New to Teaching

Your implementation is only as good as your sustainability plan. If you aren't training new teachers as they come in, you can't expect everyone to be rowing the boat in the same direction. Self- Paced. Great in a cohort/book study format, or independent study.

For Anyone Needing an Introduction
or a Refresh

Math Expressions is built on the 5 Core Structures. Maybe you don't do everything in the resource, but if you are skipping these five, you are missing out on the most impactful and intentional parts of the resource and your implementation across the school is absolutely suffering and negatively impacting results.

If you are looking for support and professional development with the Math Expressions curriculum, I can help!

As a Founder, Speaker, Author, and Teacher, I specialize in Math Expressions and have a passion for helping teachers implement it effectively—and enjoy the process along the way.

With over 20 years of experience teaching and training across the country, I’ve worked in classrooms of all grade levels and abilities. My journey has taken me from the classroom to roles as a math specialist, coach, and consultant, collaborating with schools and educators to create meaningful math experiences.

I’ve had the privilege of working closely with the author of Math Expressions, contributing to tools and resources that empower teachers and students alike. Whether developing curriculum, leading professional development, or speaking at events, my goal is always the same: to help transform math classrooms, one teacher and student at a time.

I know how it feels to struggle with math. I didn’t grow up loving it or believing I could succeed, but I discovered a love for math and grew confident in my abilities—not just as a mathematician but as a teacher. That transformation drives my mission today.

Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with math, and now I’m here to help bring that same joy and confidence to you and your students.

Join me inside the Math Genius Squad or at a training session, and let’s discover how far you and your students can GROW! Together, we can create math classrooms where both teachers and students thrive.
