You’ll get answers to the tricky stuff—what to do when the lessons feel off, when the pacing doesn’t fit, or when you’re just not sure what to emphasize.
âś… A Collaborative Space With Teachers Just Like You
You’re not planning alone. Connect with same-grade teachers across the country who get the challenges you face.

✅ Confidence That You’re Starting Strong
You’ll leave knowing Unit 1 is handled—and that the rest of your year is already on steadier ground.
LIVE Planning Workshop
Together, let's develop a clear roadmap for Unit 1 and learn techniques to support diverse learners effectively so you can start the year with a plan you feel great about.
Take The Test Together
We'll go through your specific unit test together and collaborate with each other, noting anything that was a challenge to teach previously so your planning can be smarter.
'Do The Math'
This hands-on workshop wouldn't be complete if we didn't try the math out ourselves. You'll be more prepared than ever to use these materials in your class!
One Big Idea At A Time
Live with me, we'll go big idea by big idea- looking at the quick quiz and how to teach that big idea's content through the Build, Draw, Write, Talk method.
Build. Draw. Write. Talk
Let's make this the year your students finally retain what you teach them. We'll go through the Build, Draw, Write, Talk method and how it can help anchor math skills.
Backwards Plan
Take part in my signature backwards planning method as we plan out your ENTIRE unit 1! The best part is you can use what you've learned to plan all of your units the rest of the year.

"A 2019 study highlighted that, on average, teachers received only one to two days of professional learning tailored to specific instructional materials, and a recent analysis by RAND Corporation indicates that roughly 23% of teachers reported receiving no professional learning on how to implement classroom materials, 38% just one to five hours, and only 10% more than 20 hours."
(Short & Hirsh, 2022; EdReports, 2022; Doan et al., 2021).
Just $47 per teacher – includes live training, tools, and replay access.
Each session will be led and coached by math expert, Shannon Kiebler. She has taught each grade level and each unit in the Math Expressions program, grades K-6th. She is also the creator of the Math Genius Squad and a children's book author.
We will start each session by discussing what has been working for you so far this year. Then we will backward plan the unit and have time to collaborate with other teachers and schools all over the country.
All sessions are recorded and will be available for 120 days.
For 2025-2026 workshop sessions, prices for the Unit Planning Workshops will be reduced for Squad members. We happily welcome non-Squad members into the Unit Planning Workshops, as well. We will go through the Math Expressions lessons and utilize materials provided in Math Genius Squad. 2025-2026 Squad members receive one complimentary Unit Planning Workshop at no additional cost. Once you have renewed or your district has renewed, you'll receive a coupon code to register. Check with your administrator or contact us at enrollment@empowerlearngrow.com
Definitely plan to bring your teacher manual for the unit that you are signed up to attend. You'll receive an email 2 weeks before each session with a detailed list of materials needed.
Each session will be on a unique Zoom link that will be provided to you ahead of time. Please check that you have a working microphone and video camera. Each session is interactive and full participation and engagement will make it a flourishing session for you!
